APRIL GHEC PTO NEWS |
|
Once again, PTO has been busy with many school projects. We were able to provide funding for lyceums, track and field day ribbons, a post prom donation, scholarships, helium balloons/crayons for Kindergarten round-up and more. Also, Geography class is attending ‘The Festival of Nations’ in early May and the 8 th grade class attended “The Diary of Anne Frank’ earlier this spring. Both of these trips were provided funds from the PTO. Teachers, if you have needs or request, please ask us! We are here to help! You can find the funds request form at the bottom of the PTO page on our school website. Good News: We have had a number of parents volunteer to help out with some of our many projects next year!! Please tell them ‘thanks’ for stepping up when you see them! Veteran’s Day: Karen Moeller and Jody Benes Christmas Program: Lori Calkins Elementary Bookfair: Becky Grathwohl and Angie Kruse Cookie Dough Fundraiser: Lia Pytleski Elementary track and field concessions : Carmen Jaskulke… we are hoping to find one more helper for Carmen….let us know if you would be interested! Thank You: A special thank you to all the elementary students for doing such a GREAT job selling cookie dough. The 6 th grade class sold the most products per student and was rewarded with an ice cream sundae party! Thank you parents for helping your kids with this fundraiser. The funds raised make it possible for PTO to help with the many things we do! We would also like to thank Mrs. Bakken and the 5 th /6 th grade band for performing at our April meeting. We really enjoyed your music! Up Coming Events: Prairie Fire Theater will be here May 2-6 to help our elementary students put on production of ‘The Wizard of Oz’. The play times will be: Friday, May 6 th at 1:30 (free) and at 7:00 with a 3.00 admission fee. We still have many things to look forward to this year including: track and field day, more lyceums, awarding our scholarships and more. We will also continue to make web page updates. Please let our webmaster Kathy know if you have any information you would like added! REMEMBER TO SAVE: General Mills product Box Tops for Education, Kemps Milk Caps, Ink Cartridges, Campbell soup product labels, old cell phones, Pizza Ranch wagon wheels, Kwik Trip Milk Moolah, Coke Codes on all Coke products and price circles from Kwik Trip Glazer donuts. These items can be sent to or dropped off at either school. Next Meeting: Our next meeting will be posted on the school website. GHEC PTO
